Before the age of thirty, Liz's work had already been featured by Science Magazine, Newsweek, The Washington Post, Slate, BBC, National Geographic, Wall Street Journal, CNN, LA Times and many other journals and periodicals in the US and abroad.

 

Her work can also be found in the permanent collections of the NC Natural History Museum, North Carolina State University, and in the archives of the National Parks Service.

Liz Bradford Owner, Scientific Illustrator As a little girl, Liz could often be found outside in the woods and creeks behind her childhood home in Wake Forest, North Carolina, catching and cataloging various creatures, critters, fish and animals. When she wasn’t exploring her local ecosystem, Liz was frequently painting, drawing and creating. In 2011, Liz founded OX•HIP to combine her passions for art and the physical sciences, and to provide her clients with a wide range of professional scientific illustration and graphic design with the highest level of responsiveness and quality client service. Liz attended graduate school at UC Santa Cruz for Scientific Illustration. She was an Annie Albers Scholar at North Carolina State University’s College of Design, completing a dual degree in Art & Design and Textile Technology. She resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with her husband Mark, an architect, and their black lab Luci and cat Buttons.
